The DoA is a household within Drachenwald for women fighters. The idea behind the household is to encourage women fighting by offering them extra support and a chance to discuss any problems they might be facing. The household is for female fighters only, usually within Drachenwald. Although we have menfolk who show their support as companions. Hopefully all potential members will be approached and asked to join by a member. Please contact us if you think you have been unfairly left out.
The forum is open to all and any to join, and we are always on the look out for unsure fencers to help them out. We are aware of the challenges of posting on a board that has large numbers of people, who are generally men, and how daunting this can seem. So, please feel free to post upon it! The forum address is a yahoo posting board at - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Daughters_of_Albion
There are different entry levels within the household, although all are of equal rank and are Daughters of Albion. Student - A female fighter without any authorisations, wishing to join the household. She does not require any fighting experience, nor hold any history of fighting but only a wish to learn to be a fighter (whether a fencer or a heavy fighter) and should work towards becoming a sister. Sister - A female fighter who has an authorisation in either fencing or heavy fighting within the Drachenwald Kingdom and has fought in at least one tournament. She must be actively participating with in the Drachenwald fighting communtiy. Patroness - A female who has done service for fighting in the Kingdom of Drachenwald. She may or may not have previous experience in fighting in Drachenwald. This title can be awarded to those no longer active with in the Kingdom of Drachenwald. Companions - This is given to menfolk who show their support of the Daughters of Albion or for women fighters.
Each Level is allowed to wear a different ribbon band upon their arm or on their belt, with a dragon (Albion) affixed to it. This is show there status as a DoA. Student - Green ribbons
