Brief description of your persona: Nichole is the wife of Admiral Robert d'Audrieu. He is from a small town in Normandy called Audrieu, however, Nichole is originally from Paris where they met. She likes to sew though she'd much rather fence!
When you started fighting: I first held a rapier in 2001, but didn't get into regular practice until 2004.
Started fighting because: I spent the majority of Double Wars infront of the fencing field because it looked so totally beautiful! Then Lord John de Barri let me hold a blade and taught me a few things like basic foot work, and my love for fencing just escalated from there every time I came back to Drachenwald!
Any advice you would give a new lady fencer: Try to find someone to train with that isn't your significant other. It makes getting practice all the less emotional.
Or anything else you might wish to add: Hold a sword as often as you can to strengthen your wrists. Even if you have breaks in fencing practices, just holding the sword will make a world of difference! I didn't and oh my goodness how I wish I would have - it's amazing!
